🌊 Giant Danio (Devario aequipinnatus) – Fast & Active Schooling Fish
The Giant Danio is a lively, energetic schooling fish known for its iridescent blue body streaked with golden horizontal stripes. As one of the largest danio species, it brings bold movement and activity to freshwater aquariums, making it an excellent choice for hobbyists who enjoy fast-swimming, hardy community fish. 🐠✨
Native to streams and rivers across South and Southeast Asia, Giant Danios are social fish that thrive in groups of 6 or more. Their active nature makes them ideal tank mates for larger community fish. These danios also serve as great dither fish for semi-aggressive species, encouraging shy fish to come out of hiding. 🌿
