The Pakistani Loach, also commonly called the YoYo Loach, is a lively, intelligent, and highly active freshwater fish known for its striking silver body patterned with dark bands resembling the letters “Y” and “O” – hence its playful name. Originating from the clear streams and rivers of Pakistan and India, this species is a favorite among aquarists for both its beauty and personality.

Pakistani Loaches are excellent community fish when kept with similarly sized, non-aggressive tankmates. They are especially skilled at controlling snail populations and love to explore every nook of your aquarium. Best kept in small groups of 3 or more, they exhibit fascinating social interactions and often playfully chase one another.
